Set high in the scenic Tam Dao Mountains, Tam Dao Golf Resort enjoys a cooler year-round climate that offers golfers a refreshing escape from Vietnam’s tropical heat. The crisp mountain air and forested surroundings create an atmosphere more reminiscent of the northeastern United States than Southeast Asia.

Opened in 2007, the championship course was designed by IMG with the ambition of becoming one of Vietnam’s premier golf destinations. The layout blends seamlessly with the natural landscape, incorporating rolling terrain, native vegetation, lakes, and streams to deliver both a strategic challenge and stunning visual appeal. Towering mountains frame every hole, giving players the sensation of golfing amid alpine scenery.

The course features Sea Isle Paspalum on the fairways and tee boxes, while Sea Isle 2000 Paspalum greens provide consistently smooth and fast putting surfaces. Multiple tee options make the course enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels, though players competing from the back tees will need accuracy, distance control, and a full range of shot-making abilities to score well.

Success at Tam Dao often depends on precise approach shots, as many greens are elevated and heavily protected. One of the standout holes is the par-5 opening hole, where golfers must decide whether to lay up short of a water hazard positioned roughly 200 yards out or attempt an aggressive shot at the green in two.

CANCELLATION

Cancellation notification must be given to Viet Golfie during normal business hours (8:15Am – 5:15PM GMT 7 – Monday through Friday) and shall be accepted by “written notice” email/ letter. No refunds are available under any circumstance for cancellations made due to golf course closure or weather conditions.
Between 15-8 days prior to tour commencing date: 50% non-refundable
Between 7-5 days prior to tour commencing date:75% non-refundable.
4 days prior to the tour commencing date: 100% non-refundable
